Thoughts about the TARDIS

1. So I'm rewatching the end of Doctor Who S3 right now (admittedly in a distracted and increasingly tipsy way), and I'm trying to sort some things out.
The TARDIS is a sentient creature, right? I mean, she's kind of a cyborg -- certainly she's got mechanical/electronic components -- but there's something in there that's alive.
It's assumed that she's capable of forming relationships, particularly with the Doctor who's traveled with/in her for 900+ years.
And she seems to be somewhat involved in the Doctor's regeneration process.
So having some other timelord crawl inside her to regenerate -- if she's not okay with that, is it rape? I kinda think so. Poor TARDIS. (ETA: and the Master totally gave her an STD, too.)
2. If I want a long, plotty Jack/Martha AU, I'm going to have to write it myself, hm? *grumbles* *heads of to search Teaspoon since AO3 is unhelpful* (I totally had this thought on my first pass through the series, too. I ♥ Martha.)
3. Why don't I have more Doctor Who icons, anyway?
