Fandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
1. The character I first fell in love with: Willow.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Giles. I was completely unprepared for how cool he'd turn out to be.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Spike. I do like him, but I don't adore him like most people seem to.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Dawn. I know she gets in trouble all the time, and she seems way younger than she is. But I still think she's awesome, especially in season 7.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Angel. It was his plight -- guilt, atonement, the hope for redemption -- that made me obsessive in the beginning. Somewhere in the middle of AtS, that all that fell apart. It makes me sad.
6. The character I would shag any time: Faith (duh).
7. The character I'd want to be like: Buffy, because she's an amazingly good leader.
8. The character I'd slap: Xander, through most of the first 3 seasons.
9. A pairing that I love: Willow/Tara.
10. A pairing that I despise: Buffy/Riley.
11. Favourite character: Buffy.
12. My five favourite characters: Buffy, Willow, Faith, Giles, Oz.
13. My five least favourite characters: Riley, Angel, Xander, Kennedy, Andrew. But Riley's the only one I genuinely dislike, the others I just like less.
14. Which character I am most like: Willow (and I'm not always proud of this).
15. My deep, dark fandom secret: Um, my answer to #3 totally counts as a deep, dark secret. Also, I sort of ship Buffy/Giles (though not to the exclusion of other ships). I don't see it as a parent/child relationship at all, I see it as mentor/protegee, and to me that's completely different. I know I'm not the only one who likes this, because there are plenty of Buffy/Giles fics out there, and I didn't write them. But no one will admit to it.
