Oh, hai, apparently I'm quite simple minded when it comes to consumption of media right now. Which is totally weird for me, but... not inherently a bad thing, I suppose.
Which leads me to my main point: XOMG Amy Pond, pirate lass, will you marry me?! Also, swashbuckling gets me every time. HEARTS. Pirates + Doctor Who = OTP!!
The only thing that threw me out of the story was the Doctor deciding to abandon ship when the TARDIS suddenly had to take off for parts unknown. I just don't see it happening that way; I'd expect him to stay aboard and then come back to get Amy and Rory. (Which might not work out as planned, obviously, but I think he'd be more likely to try it than to let the TARDIS go without him.)
That's a small quibble, though. I think I like this show just as much when it's LOLtastic, like this episode, as I do when it's all-consumingly-brain-breaking like the first two.
