I'm sure I'm on record somewhere, saying I'm not an OTP sort of girl. There's so many possibilities, you see. )

Ok, I finally finished watching Doctor Who: The End of Time.

a few thoughts on this, under the cut. )

And now I want to do a big dam rewatch.

I just got my [livejournal.com profile] au_bingo  card! I know, I know, not like I need another project... but this one's open until January 31, so I'm not even starting it until I'm done with the [livejournal.com profile] 31_days  thing. Also, I'm writing Doctor Who fic for this, because I haven't written any yet, and it's about damn time. :D It should be fun.

card under the cut! ) LJ theme!fail: for some reason, table lines don't show up in this theme. Trust me, it's not a code!fail, it's the theme. Possibly I'll look for a new one soon.

Dear author,

Thanks for signing up to write for me! I'm a little late posting this -- apologies. If you're more organized than I am and have already started or planned your fic, please, carry on. I am beyond squee-ful at the prospect of a whole ficathon devoted to femslash, and I will be absolutely delighted to receive a fic for any of these requests.

But if you were waiting for a little more information, well. I like plot and fluff and angst-with-a-happy-ending and most AUs. You'll notice that most of the things I requested are sci fi or fantasy of some kind; I'm not much interested in "real world" or "all human" AUs, because I'm a genre nerd at heart, you see. Oh, I'm also quite ok with crossovers, as long as I'm familiar with both fandoms -- so should you feel compelled to cross any of my requests over with each other, or with anything else I've offered to write, please go ahead.

Ok, so I was going to share a little more info about my requests, but... honestly, I'm bored of all my ideas, and I know I'll be happy with whatever you choose to write. So have fun! And again, thank you.

Questions for anyone who's seen more than the first four episodes of Torchwood:
  • Does it get better?
  • When?
  • If I skip ahead to that point, will I know what's going on?
(By the way, I have no problem with spoilers, so comment away, if you'd like.)

I just can't get into it. )

Five Man Band (Torchwood and Buffy) )

I have a lot of thinky-thoughts in my head right now, most of which either start or end with Doctor Who. And apparently, I am incapable of doing anything constructive (or, indeed, anything at all for longer than 15 seconds at a stretch) until I get the thoughts out in some way. So.

I'm up to "The Idiot's Lantern" and I'm loving Rose Tyler more with every passing episode.I'm kind of getting obsessed. )

Oh, wow. I just blew through the second half of Doctor Who, Season 1 in about three days. I mentioned that I didn't feel the immediate affinity for Rose and Nine that I did for Amy and, especially, Eleven. But, well, somewhere around "The Long Game," I started to get it.

I enjoyed "Father's Day," but I don't have strong feelings about it. Then "The Empty Child" clinched it. I absolutely love the last five eps of the season, and I have some pretty strong feelings about the characters, too.

Yep. I get it. )

Does anybody have Doctor Who community or fic recs?  I get the feeling that fandom is big enough to be a jungle, so I thought I'd ask for suggestions before I go charging in.

So far I've only seen the first half of S1 and the S5 episodes as they come available in the US, but I'm not opposed to being spoiled on what I haven't seen yet. On the other hand, though, I adore the current Doctor, so I'm most interested in fic that relates to the new season, of which I'm sure there will be more and more as we go along.

Specific things I'm interested in... )

Doctor Who

Long story short, yesterday BookGeekGal got me to watch the first episode of the new season of Doctor Who, and I'm enchanted. This weekend, we watched all 5 eps that are so far available in the US. I'm not entirely sure what I think of it, but I can't stop thinking of it, and I take that as a good sign. It's pretty rare that I sit through a whole hour-long TV show without getting distracted at some point (sad to say), but every episode had me riveted from start to finish.

cut for spoilers, not for length. )

Not sure I needed another massive canon to be fannish about. But if it turns out that I'm seriously not allowed to use my hand for a while, at least I won't get bored.
