A meme, to help me get back to writing. Borrowed from [ profile] littlemissgriff.

1. Give me a character or pairing
2. Give me a text from last night.
3. I'll write you a drabble or ficlet based on the scenario.

Fandoms: Pierce (any); Star Trek: TNG; Doctor Who 2005 to present; Torchwood S1-3; Buffy; Firefly.

I don't promise reliability here, but it sounds like fun. Hit me!

Meme Time!

.... because I need more fun, and more fannishness around these parts.

(Gakked from [ profile] q_sama , because she's my hero.)

Name a character from one of the following fandoms and I'll give you:

(a) Three facts about them from my personal fanon.
(b) A reason he/she sucks.
(c) A reason he/she is amazing.
(d) Five things that I'd like to see happen to them.
(e) Five people that I can't ship that character with and why.

Fandoms: books: Tamora Pierce (any), anything in my Yuletide request for this year. TV: Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Doctor Who (ETA: I mean New Who; sorry for the bias), Torchwood. Movies: uh... this is a slightly random, probably truncated list, but let's go with Across the Universe, The Princess and the Frog, and Star Trek.

As I was reading PPF fic this morning, I realized that it seemed like there was a whole lot of guy!slash. And that's cool, because some of it's lovely, and people are really excited about it. And Pierce writes fantastic characters of both sexes, so it's nice to see a lot of the guys getting their due in fic.

But personally, I'm a crazy Pierce fangirl because of the kick-ass ladies -- who don't, typically, play the starring roles in guy!slash.

Then I wondered if maybe I was just noticing the slash so much because a lot of times, Pierce fandom doesn't have very much of it.

So I countedThere are 18 M/F, 19 M, and 5 F, as of now. More info. under the cut. )

This brings me to my main point, which is: PPF needs some more female-centric fics! Het or femslash or female/other; sweet or angsty or just crack-tastic, we need more ladies being awesome. Entries only have to be 500 words, so I figure I can kick out three or four, anyway (plus the two I've already talked about, which are almost done). But I need back-up! Who's with me?
